Species Appropriate Diet
When we say we provide a species appropriate diet, we mean a diverse diet, low in starch and sugar and free from additives and preservatives. Although the diet of the wild horse has not yet been researched and documented, observations show that it includes a great variety of shrubs, herbs, berries and seeds, algeas, minerals and salt, leaves, bark and roots which the horses source and forage in harmony with nature and the seasons of the year. We copy this environment and provide our horses with self-selection enrichment areas to seek out and forage what their bodies need, in addition to our main forage source - hay - and healthy meals.

High Quality Forage
We provide high-quality mixed species meadow hay - dust and mold free.

Minerals & Vitamins
In the wild, horses dig holes in the ground or lick rocks to source minerals and salt.
We provide salt and mineral buffets, which are available to our horses for self-selection.

Herbs and Seeds
A seasonal mix of fresh and dried herbs as well as seeds is available to our horses for self-selection.

Healthy Meals
To maintain optimal weight and condition, we provide a healthy and balanced diet. Every morning the herd gathers around the barn, where our staff prepares their individual meals. Each in their own feeding pen, the horses will receive exactly what they need, stress-free and without competition.
